I'm going to head up to Argentine pass Saturday Morning to check out the condition of the trail and see how far I can get before the snow stops me. If anyone wants to join me, I'll be at the Georgetown visitor center at 9:00am. I'll be on CB4 and Ham 146.460 as well. :thumb:

Successful morning. Marco and I ran the loop on Argentine and collected a couple bags of trash. The road above treeline is still snowed in, but everything down below was fine. I didn't bring a camera, but maybe Marco will post up some pics later.

Bill Moore or Yankee Hill?

Yes, do tell! If it is to Bill Moore, I suggest someone bring a small chain saw as there were a couple of windfall trees that were in need of scaling back. Maybe toss something in front of the go around that we saw on Wednesday too?

A few pics..

The two trucks where we stopped because of the snow, and some shots of the signs and water crossings. The water was lower than it seemed like it was going to be after looking at the streams on the drive up.

The Signs actually looked pretty good which is really nice. Even though the "Stay The Trail" sign was very weathered and torn, people had tried to keep it put together by sticking rocks on it and even putting a band-aid on it. It looked like crap, but I still say it looks "good" since it had not been vandalized... and the paint still looks nice. No bullet holes or anything.

Matt, will you be headed up next weekend? We didn't have a Stay The Trail poster to restaple to the sign.. If you are going up there take one with ya.

Anyways, nice drive in the woods for a saturday afternoon.

Thanks guys! I have been trying to look for my poster that I still have. I've moved since last summer so it's somewhere new. It's good to see other people trying to take care of it, after what happened last summer

Might have to get in touch with Brant again to get some new ones...
