Just found out that the biased plied SS on the 40 are 17 years old:eek:

I was just quote 4 bills on a radial TSL!!!!

I am thinking about doing MTR's.....any other suggestions?

Existing tire size is 36x 12.5 x 15.

Would you want these tires? The spare has never been used and the other 4 probably have 1/2 life still on them. How's $300 for all 5?

And I thought I was hit with serious sticker shock on the new Kevlar MTRs: $250 for 235/85/16. I wonder what my shop lists the 36s for?

Yikes, the composition of the rubber has changed after year 2, and definitely by year 4. 17 years? I'd get new tires.

Definitely go Interco or some other soft tread - no reason to have tires older than 3-4 years with tons of tread left.

Do you care if they are quiet? If so, go Trxus MT, hands down.

I'm with you on the safety aspect....bought new tires today, TSL radials. Thanks for the quiet suggestion on the Trxus, but driving this rig around has made me realize I can't hear the phone ring or my email chime and I find that as bit of freedom so the noise is a welcome relief.
