That thing looks sweet. I dig the black FJ. The wheel wells look perfect with those big gnarly tires.

That's the Dark Cherry Color not completely black. It doesn't look that dark here in sunny colorado ;)

I do like it with the lift. It looks really good.

Sweet!
The suspension sure looks like a similar setup to my 3rd gen.

Some one was quoteing about 400 for the parts, a few hours(2-3) labor and That is what you get. Someone else in the thread was talking about all toyot parts to get a couple of inches. TRD is working on something as well. ARB has some stuff for other trucks that will bolt in, but is not specfic for the FJ currently(maybe real soon). I do agree that is one sweet looking Cruiser. The trucks perform real well if you learn how to drive them with the system you have. We have worked the FJ's real hard the last couple of days and I am real happy with mine. It is a different style for me, but I am getting the hang of it. It will only make me a better driver. Catch you guys soon. later robbie

Robbie,
I would be interested in hearing just how you changed you driving style. I image it would have to do with giving the computer time to work.

Does the traction control behave similar to the 2001 and newer runners. I've seen those in action (you've seen Mike Brown's). The system only works if the rig is moving, so the computer has time to detect slippage and kick in. When stopped in the middle of an obstacle traction control doesn't work. Thus the reason those guys get a selectable locker (not a stock option for a 2001 and newer runner).

If I'm going to driving this thing over whale rock I need to know these things. :hill: Just joking.
