Hi Guys,

You were a big help with what 4Runner mods to start with and now I am narrowing down my choices on a 1999 4Runner. I've found 1 that has the TRD Supercharger package and was wondering if this is really that much of a bump in power and could it potentially be problematic for an older 4Runner?

As always, thanks! :)

Yes, big bump in power and no, not that much of a risk of problems, IMO, particularly if you stay close to some of the resources in this group. Remember you'd be signing up to buy 91 octane for the rest of your life, which is probably the only downside of owning a S/C IMO, but I think just about everyone who has one will say it's worth it.

Hmmm. I'll have to give that some thought. Of course, if we were on the East Coast, 91 wouldn't be the highest octane and it wouldnt hurt as bad.. ;)

Does this seem like a good deal on CraigsList?

Ping Squishy! (username includes exclamation). He is extremely knowledgeable on that exact unit, and can check it out for you professionally. (Always have a used vehicle checked by a decent mechanic.)
