I got home yesterday from a three day backpacking trip I took with a buddy of mine. We started out Tuesday morning at 0430 and got to BV around 8 or so. The drive out there was pretty neat, it had been a while since I saw a sunrise ( summer vacation)

Upon arrival we grabbed our packs and started the hike up and into the valley where we would set up "base camp"

These pictures were all taken while climbing the mountains:

And at one point I took a water break, sat down and just pointed the camera at different flowers.

All in all it was a great time, just a bit exhausting because I wasn't in nearly as good of shape as my buddy. The earth didn't have to be this beautiful...

You take a lot more pictures than I do when I hike/climb a mountain! Good on ya!

I've done Missouri, but have been wanting to get back up there to check out Belford, Oxford, and Elkhead Pass sometime as well. One of these summers...

Most impressive to see the pictures here. Are you wishing you had done another one before coming home?

Meh, I was pretty beat. I'll be saving the rest of them for another day.

Looks like a great trip! It's nice to get into the mountains on foot rather than behind the wheel sometimes. :thumb:
