A while back Ige put her Pakistan soft top up for sale. I've always liked this soft top style more than any other that is out there. The top needed some new windows sewn in and I hit the bows up with a bit of spray paint. I got everything put on the 40 today.

Nice choice Ricardo! I and others are right there with you when we say that that is the only soft top that looks "right" on a 40! :thumb:

Your Cruiser would look pretty cool painted something blueish, like the later sky blue.

Wait, I know. Some split 2 piece rims, two or three different tread pattern bias ply tyres, a star and crescent painted on the doors with "GOD is GREAT" in Farci. And voille! Your on the cover of "TRAILS". Of course any fearfull neighbor you may have is also looking for the phone number of homeland security.

On a more serious note Ricardo, welcome to the society of "PARTS INC. PAKISTAN". I thoroughly enjoy mine. Both summer and winter, keeps out wind rain snow and provides shade when needed. I don't expect to put my hard top back on any time soon. A roof rack is the only reason that comes to mind. Your right, I would like to remove my HI-LUX top too! I even get a toot o' the horn from the local Pinsgauer, when waiting at the traffic signal in my 40. "Make mine a tarpaulin top please" Now for the tailgate...

I like Ricardo's paint just the way it is. Your rig looks great with the Pakistan top! :thumb: :zilla:

Do you still need those brackets for the windshield to door frame parts, Ricardo?? What did you do for the brackets in the rear of the tub that hold the bows??

I go back and forth on paint. For now, it will stay "Siberian camouflage" as I still need to make progress on the 4sp/engine swap project, and then a rear locker. I do still need the brackets when you get around to swapping your green ones in.

Regarding the rear brackets, Jerry at Groove called last week with the other upper bracket. I don't have the bottom brackets, but with the upper brackets and the rear door bows - it is very solid and does not move at all. :thumb:

Right on. I'm going to install those OEM bows and doors this week, so I'll have the brackets for you once I swap them in (Tuesday). I can run them down the hill, or you're welcome to head up.

You need to get those OEM rims mounted up! That would really complete your rig.
