1973 FJ40 for sale $1800 or BO or trade

Yes, the same 40 I picked up 3 years ago to restore (Thanks Oleg, Ige, and Milke!) In the meantime I picked up a mice 65 that needs just a little work to run so I am going to part with the 73. If she does not sell pretty quick I will be parting it out.

the basics: 1973 FJ40, light blue, bought with no engine, dropped in a 2F from a 1978 pig. NOT running but has everything needed to get it on the road.

GOOD: Top and doors in good shape, the floor and bed is in good shape, back doors and all glass but the windshield are good. 2f with original 3 speed tranny and tcase, 4 inch lift springs, (tires and rims different than in pic), everything is pretty solid, I was excited to have a good truck to restore.

BAD: Nothing is hooked up on the engine, but it is ready to go. Have everything needed to get it on the road: gas tank, seats, driveshafts, etc., plus you can raid my parts stash for stuff you need. Hood has a slight crease where I pulled it out of the garage with the hood up. D'OH!! :homer: Some rust in the rear corners, pretty typical. rear sill is actually still ok, but will need replacing some day. Fenders decent, some rust , refinished and repainted one.

Overall a very solid truck I was looking forward to restoring, but the 65 is much closer to being on the road. I would consider dropping the price and keeping the 2F for the 65 if anyone wanted to put in something else like a v8. Also will consider parting it out soon.

Thanks!!

Timm

Hey, you know where it is located and have the keys to the building. :)

I would be interesting in the springs if you end up parting out. However, I hope you can sell as a package, would hate see another decent cruiser go to parts.

If I end up parting it out you can have the springs for free. They were given to me so no
way I could sell them for cash. :)

Can't you just say the 40 was given to you then give it to me. LOL

If I get someone interested I'll show them the rig.

If you want a 4 speed I have one (minus the top cover) that came out of my rig when I installed the H41.

Sorry Matt, I'm gonna have to call first dibs. Still hoping you can sell it out right Timm. I would take the shackles too because i don't think the ones i grabbed from you the other day are going to fit. Unless you know something i don't which is entire possible and likely accurate.
