I am looking for a project truck.... plow/future commuter truck...

I am looking for a 22r powered solid axle (don't care if it was SASed) truck.

Bed is not needed... Cab and front clip rust free/somewhat straight. Non running AOK.

Prefer not something that has been buggied/beat/basterdized....

I might be selling this one. '82, 22r, 180k, new exhaust, brakes, tires, clutch master and slave. Some rust, dents, but not terrible. Needs new ujoint in front DS and there's a noise in the front axle when in 4WD that I haven't identified yet.

what's it worth? :)

Aw, I wouldn't hack up Martin's Hilux. That one's so cool with the OE stripes and still decent factory bed with outside hooks. There are plenty of 2nd and 3rd trucks to make into frankentrucks. If only I had the money, if only! I even have a second 'Nest for it. I'd sell/trade/give my truck for that one in a second.

Only problem is he wants a solid axle... Means 1st gen or 85.

Honestly, I have a 87 truck that I put a plow on. Also put in heavier torsion bars. Works well enough. On either SA or IFS the nose is going to dive some.

Don't mind if it was SAS :)

Or if its cheap... I'll do it myself.. I want to put a 7'6 V plow on it...

Hard to beef up a IFS enough to do it.. Airbags for a solid axle are easy... I was joking about the yellow v plow... But intend to do a Boss V plow... to go along with my GMC 5500 plow truck

Ahhh you know I agree as that stock is cool but I just had to get a bite as I knew it would make Martin lose a little sleep! ;) :lmao:

No worries. My truck is probably rusty enough to warrant some saw-time and a new custom bed :o and Marlin parts would be a worthy addition to any minitruck. :thumb:

Put a price on it and see? I imagine I'm not the only one who'd be interested at the right price Martin.

I probably have more into it in new parts than it's worth. Seems like SA pickups are a dime a dozen right now.

Most of them are in the Denver area, wonder if the hike on registration fees and new emissions requirements (like Weld and Laramier County now, right?) are having the desired effect of getting older cars off the road? What's the point of busting knuckles on old junk if it's gonna cost $100 or more to register every year like something newer?

My neighbor is selling his 1985 pickup. Its SFA, and has fuel injection.

Its an Automatic unfortunately, and has some rust issues. Seems to run well, though I can't speak to that personally, just from when I've seen him driving it. I've never heard it have an issue starting (he parks out in front of my condo).

I think he is looking for 2k. IMO, its too much for the condition the truck is in, but he's had it on the market for quite some time, perhaps he'd take a cash offer?
