Well the time is nearly here, Monday morning at 10:30 am I will be under the knife for a total knee replacement. I should have done this 5 years ago but with my young  age and the technology back then I decided to wait.

Now with the advancements and my knee hurting everyday at any given time made the decision a little easier. I always said I would do it when I hurt walking up the stairs and it has come to that point.

I will be in Rose Med. Center for 3 days so expect a lot of stupid posts :D With nothing to do in the middle of the night I always end up looking to the internet................get your mind out of the gutter:rolleyes:

If any of you can send me some good Carma or thoughts/prayers Sharon and I would very much appreciate it. This is my first surgery I have been worried about. All my other surgeries were always planned a week or two before due to being accidents mostly.

My plan is to be ready for the Snow Run :thumb: got to be able to walk in deep snow and pull other peoples winch cables:p:

Thanks and I'll keep y'all updated, hopefully with some gory pictures:D

:thumb: It will go great. If it wasn't going to get you in trouble I'd have asked a very attractive 27yr old dietitian friend who works there to check on on you... but can't have you in trouble. Oh well. Send a room number and maybe we can sneak you some extra green jello. ;)

had my first surgery at rose back in forth grade (appendix), and it really is an outstanding hospital. everything is going to be fine, nobody would reccomend surgery for any other reason than to help someone, in the end you'll be much better off!

Hope it all went well, Tom! My wife's mother had this done about 18 months ago -- now she says it is the OTHER knee that bothers her.

Well I looked at the stock birfield and thought it would hold up for about 10 years. That's when I looked at upgrading parts to titanium and or Stainless. In the the end SS won out and I have about 46.7 ounces or so in my left knee. My right knee still has the screws staples in it from surgeries years ago. :(
