so I am thinking of taking one of these:

and making a cafe bike over the winter... thoughts? I love 2 strokes, and well, it would be fun..

I totally read the subject wrong, I thought you were talking about ride-in-the-winter bike. LOL! Cool idea.

Isn't that like lowering your truck and installing oversized rims with low pro tires?

not really. early enduros weren't radically different from early road bikes. Maybe a little more rake, but not on all models. put in different fork legs and your golden on the early 70's ones.

I went with a kz400 though...

I like retro. I wouldn't mind having a Manx or Duc single in the shed. Well, except for when parts time came.

I almost bought a Victor 441 when I was in high school. Should've.

tomorrow is fitment of rear sets and frame cutting... I may even use my own plasma cutter! I haven't used it myself in like 18mos or more.
