I was at the Orchard shopping center at 144th and I25 today looking for lunch after doing some Columbus Day tool shopping across the highway at Sears. The landscapers left the sprinklers on and it was still about 28 degrees at 3:30PM. Made for a lovely waste of water. I thought my photo *might* be used, but sure enough, Ed liked it enough to lead the weather with it. Heh heh, dang crackberry's camera ain't so bad afterall.:D:photo:

Cool picture! It was much bigger yesterday! It looked like the sprinkler was on all day!

Waste of water, yes.

I bet a valve froze open maybe? Might have saved the rest of the system!

x2. Then they will fine a homeowner for watering the yard during the day but I see their stuff on all the time.

If you look closely, you can see the sprinklers are firing like they should. I didn't get every head in this shot, but they were all working properly along several hundred yards or so of greenbelt between the parking lot and 25.

I fell victim to TV advertising. They advertised a set of SAE "universal" wrenches. On-line they also offered them in metric. The open end is normal enough but the box end fits a variety of good and stripped fasteners. Figured it would be a good set to carry for emergencies.
