My friend at work is putting a E36 S50 into an e30. (mid 90's M3 motor into a late 80's 325i) and he needs to modify some of his shift linkage. The only problem is that the part that needs modifying is cast alloy aluminum. this is WAY to soft to weld with aluminum wire in a MIG. AMHIK.

Anyways I've got his shift linkage in my garage and I don't know what to do with it unless someone here and somewhat close to me has a TIG that would help me out with getting this all welded up sometime this weekend?

All it is, is a piece of shift linkage cut in half, twisted 10* and needs to be rewelded.

LMK if you think you could help me out!

did you say cast aluminum? Do you know the make up? Cast is tricky on aluminum. any way to just make new linkage?

yeah, I'm not sure if its an alloy though. Just assuming. Unfortunatley not, Its casted and have holes perfectly fitted for bushings...
