A big thanks to Mr. Rudy and Mr. Yoder for their early start today. Hope there were others taking pictures because I only took one all day. We had 21 rigs on the run today and it was beautiful outside. I got to try out the HotDogger and my burritos were toasty warm and delicious.

Many thanks to everyone who joined us today and for helping out and making it enjoyable for all. :D

Thanks for being a good sport Ricardo and leading the run for everyone. You and your experienced crew had things nicely under control.

I was able to go at the last minute as long as I could return mid afternoon. So Rudy was flexible enough to meet me early so we could leave the cemetery at 8:30.

There was enough snow to have fun even though there was an extremely hard crust on top to to deal with. We were able to have fun playing at the traditional playground spot. Then Steve and I made it up near the base of Yankee Hill at timberline where we encountered a very large deep drift. Steve barely made it up on top of the drift and tip towed across. I couldn't get up it and had to winch from Steve's rig after he finished winching himself out of the next drift. Then we explored the top. It looked like a easy decent into Alice. But it was still early so we went back down at met the main group at the middle parking lot.

1 and 2. Rudy and I stuck at the same time near the top.
3. At the top. Steve rig looks like it smiling at the JadeRunner
4. Play hill that we couldn't quite make it up. Perhaps the others did later?

Great run, great fun, great people and the weather was pretty much perfect. I didn't do too well either in the picture department, but here are a few anyway.

Thanks to Kenny and Lynnette for bringing Alexis to play with Jaeden. And a big thanks to Ricardo, Scott, Stephen and all who pitched in to make this run a success! :thumb:

Someone was telling me about that rock playground today. It looks fun. I can't believe I've never never been there.

Hey Ricardo, you might want to edit the title of this thread (unless there's another run tomorrow).

Also, could one of you guys that are on the Front Range forum post up a link to this thread in their trip report thread (http://www.frontrange4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7351)?

It was again a pleasure to wheel with you. Great weather, Great People, it was a good run.

To bad you did not get a pic of that last bump in the road. That one hurt. haha. I know alexis had a blast. She can't wait till the next time we go out. I will have to show her the PIC of the two of them tomorrow.

And as for PICs i stink also. i had my full bag and never got a chance to take any. Pretty bad for a photographer.

Again it was nice seeing both old and new faces. till next time.....

p.s. STEVE..... you left me at the bottom again.... haha

Had a great time while on the trail. Diffrent story on pavement. I've got 1 or 2 pics but I'll have to post them onto my myspace page if some one could post them on the forum for me. Big thanks to Rudy and steve. As they had to leave OTB to come back to that huge hill after ditching me on the side of the road. Lol JK. I over heated or somthing going up that huge hill on 70 I was 100yards from the top. the truck I think was over heating on the. Trail eariler. But this time I was poping 30amp fuses every time I turned the key over. So the dude in the yellow fjc was behind me the whole time he pulled over and waited with me while I sorted it out. (don't know his name) but he cut the last 2" of his speaker wire for me and I used it as a jumper wire. I was like. "well it's either going to start or start a fire. Lol" and she started. :hill: so j made to OTB fine. Steve. And Rudy were on there way to get me. And saw me going down one a hill so they turned around again to catch up. Because I'm not stoping :lmao: but after OTB (why do we go to that micro burry ) OTB had budlight on draft. Lol on the way home Rudy followed me incase I broke down again. She was driving perfectlly like she always had. Then poof. Died again. And she not hot. "I think the ECM blew" I was like 1/2 a mile from federal on 70 so we decided to strap it and tow it to the shop. Kinda scary to drive 40mph with maneual steering and maneual brakes only 30' behind a beautifuell truck. Once we got it to the shop (big thanks again Rudy) we had to PUSH it spool and all into the shop had to make a "s" turn but me did it. Woohoo.

I will make this the last one, for this run. Had a blast, if any1 lives around Evergreen and wants to do a run let me know.

11-15-2009, 07:37 PM
looks like ya'll had a blast! thansk for the pics! I wish I could been there.

11-15-2009, 09:01 PM
can anybody point on a map where those two play areas are? The rocky area where the pickup is going through, and the little snowy hillclimb where everybody is stopped?

11-16-2009, 02:53 PM
That rocky area looks like it might be the Polar Star mine.

11-16-2009, 03:44 PM
Be careful when posting photos that might look like you are driving off trail to get to or around a snow drift. I know everyone in Rising Sun is responsible and wouldn't do that but there are people that are against responsible wheeling that watch these forums and can pull a few of these photo and post them out of context.

thanks for the heads up. I have a lot of photos from privet properties of people I know, I don't know how I'll get around that. Maybe have in big letters...NOT PUBLIC LAND....sorry about my English, I was once told that when I write, a English teacher dies.
