Front Range Driveline did the shafts, its an xtra cab, and there was no vibration from them. I just recently replaced the u joints.

Does $200 sound good?

EDIT: sorry wasn't sure what you were asking I think it is a double Cardan I will check when I get home.

Steering gear box ?$?

And will a 85 gear box work for a 99 SAS ? I think there all the same

pic's of the truck would help.

No, you need an 86+ steering box. The 84-85 is a push-pull and incompatible with crossover steering. However I bet the 86+ is what he is running.

If you mean W56 tranny... no, a W won't mate to an R bellhousing.
If you mean transfer case... yeah, with an adapter.

Is the tranny a W56? Condition? Mileage? How much?

Here are some picks of the truck.

Where do I look to find out which transmission it is?

Both are W56 trannys.

That is a push/pull steering box. Not worth anything except as recycle iron. Unless a stock 85 owner just has to have one, and yours is perfect, then maybe $10-20?

Hope that helps...

If Tim passes on the steering box, I'll take it. I'm pretty sure it's the one I need for my 40 power steering.

Yes - that's the 40 PS box (for stock type PS mods with a new bracket). I'll get in line for it too, if others pass on it. Thanks!

You guys use minitruck push/pull, J-rod steering boxes? If so I take back my estimate of its worth. Or are you talking about the IFS steering box?

the old school steering boxes that came on the solid axle trucks is what works, not the IFS stuff.

How much for the frame? How much rust is on it?

Your pretty close to where I live you can come check out the frame if you want. If it's up to your standards does 250 sound good?

Also if that is the correct steering box you need I will sell it for 20 Bucks.

I'm going to pull the detriot locker tonight and make sure it's still in good condition. I'll post pics.

ORLY? Well now, its value just went up. I had no idea. Funny how the cruiser and minitruck worlds collide. Beneficially.

Is the rear axle a 1985 vintage or the 3" wider 1986-1994 type. I'm looking for the latter.

PM me on the front axle if you still have it. I was building my spare and my ball knuckles have some major rust pitting on them :(

I've got the housing and the shafts left, no knuckles

I am pulling the body off and taking it to the yard this Saturday.

I still have the transmission, front axles housing, brake lines, lift kits, shocks, drive shafts, brake booster, Frame.

The rotors are still in really good shape if anybody needs spare. $40

I can pull the engine if anyone is interested.

On a side note I also have some Deatschwerk top feed 850cc injectors brand new still in a box, will fit all top feed Subaru's. Bought them before I realized they won't flow enough for the power I am looking for :(
