My neighbor is in some need of Toyota help. His pass. side rear seat belt in in '99 4Runner is broken. THAT is the one that holds his 4 year old son in so no good. He is leaving for a driving trip to Illinois next week and wants to fix it.

I have not been to any of the Toyota junk yards in a long long time so I need some names and addresses please. We live in SW Littleton but he will drive where he needs to. If there is one that has it pulled already that would be great because he will have two toddlers with him.

Please post up the location and phone number if you have it or the part it self. :thumb:

You can also call me 3o3/829\o7o3 Tom

Which part of the seat belt is broken? Buckle? Strap?

Some junkyards specifically won't sell seatbelts. A complete belt assembly new from Toyota should be less than $200.

That's good - a new seat belt fr Mrs. Bobzooki's 99 Grand Vitara is over $250.

I'll be removing one from my 95 4-door Sidekick for her.

Call a dealer service dept and ask about having the belt replaced under warranty. Years ago Toyota would supply the part at no charge if the customer paid for the labor for install AT THE DEALERSHIP regardless of time or miles.

I suspect Toyota has revised the policy to be more restrictive but worth asking.

Try Jim's. He's got a lot of parts and has good prices. At least I think so. Also, if he doesn't have it, he will call a couple of his competitors for you.
