This was my Christmas present this year and I can't think of anything else in the world I would rather have received as a gift!!! Check out Tillman Tucker Larger!!! (Named after the great American, Pat Tillman and Cary's maiden name Tucker)

As many of you know, Cary and I have been trying to adopt for a couple of years now. Well, we finally got "THE CALL" on Tuesday that we had been selected. Man, what a crazy feeling! Cary and I drove down to Aurora on Tuesday afternoon to visit with our little one and then brought him home on Wednesday! Anyway, I wanted to express my joy and tell everyone how lucky I feel on this Christmas Day!!!

Thanks for all of the well wishes. We are already losing a little sleep, but luckily Cary is one of those people who really only needs about 5 hours...she's doing much better than I am with the lack of sleep!!!

What's really crazy is that we were at the RS Holiday party, completely oblivious to the fact that we'd have a child a few days later! We really thought it might be a couple more months. He was born on Dec 4th, so as soon as his birthmom and dad signed the paperwork they called us to come pick him up. It happened so quickly that we were really scrambling to run out and get the essentials. Today, a bunch of neighbors showed up with all kinds of kid stuff from their basements!!! I think we're set for a bit now. Except it will probably be hard to get out on any RS wheelin' trips for a while! At least until his bobble-head is strong enough to withstand the bouncin' around!!!

I still carry pics of my kids when they were babies in my drivers door of my cars. I have baby pics in the medicine cabinets in the bathrooms for when I brush my teeth (yes, 3 of 4 baths have my toothbrushes). The baby times go quick but they are so poignant. You'll never forget these times.

I'm excited for you and your wife.

And I had season tix for the Devils when Tillman was at ASU. I remember them shutting out the two time defending champs Cornhuskers in the midst of their 3 NCs. I always loved that guy. There are some great stories of him when he was at ASU that are fun to read. Great kids. I really miss him.
