Not sure what has taken me so long to come check you folks out. I have been a regular on the FJCruiser forums since getting my 07 FJC. I am hanging out there less these days and thinking that a more CO centric place might be better for me. So hello, and you can see my FJC in the link in my signature. Happy New Year to all 8)

Welcome! Cool looking FJC.

What does this sticker mean? Have you converted it to run on an alternative fuel?

01-04-2010, 12:06 PM
it's the opposite.. he's a proud gas guzzler. I not sure an FJCruiser really qualifies as compared to our other beloved cruisers. I mean if you can eclipse 20mpg at any point in time your practically fuel miser :D

its a gag sticker from Glenn Becks radio program - Oil is a HydroCarbon :)

i dont listen to Glenn i am more of a Dennis Prager fan, but i thought the sticker was funny.

I have done the FJC Summit (in Ouray) for the first two years, skipped it last year, I have really been wanting to do a MOAB trip so maybe I can find a way to go to the Cruise Moab event... that would be cool!

Question, what is the purpose of the $30 of the membership fee that goes towards United 4WD?

01-05-2010, 12:10 PM
Biggest thing (IMHO) is the legal representation to help fight closures.

Well the purpose of the fee is to pay for your membership.. :) But as I see it, United 4WD is a group that lobbies on our behalf for road issues, access, fighting closures, etc. They work with the Forest Service to see that the interests of the 4WD community are being heard, in addition to the other diverse users like hikers, bikers, equestrians, etc.

There more to it than that though, here's their web site: http://www.ufwda.org/

Carla Boucher is a major resource for motorized recreation. It will be a very sad day when she retires. She knows the ropes better than anyone.
