***SOLD***
I've had this FJ62 since 2003, but it's time to move on. It is stock, stock, stock.
Only mods are upgraded headlights (Hella) and sound system (Panasonic). 152k miles.
Well cared for by two compulsive owners. I have all maintenance records, back to the original bill of sale.
Not a spot of rust. Very rarely off road. Very clean, inside and out - see more pictures at

http://s755.photobucket.com/albums/xx194/Lanar_37/

Paint on hood and roof is faded by the sun. One of the front hubs is looking a bit dark -
meaning it will need new front axle seals in the next 10k miles or so.

PM me for more details.

SOLD. Lots of demand out there for non rusty, unmodified 60-series Cruisers.
Sold first day ad went out, for full price. (I think I underpriced it as well.)

Quickness of the sale would indicate that the price was extremely fair but don't kick yourself for selling what you asked for it. To sell a non-economical vehicle these days is a good trick. Congrats!! Did the new owner tell you their plans for the truck?

Buyer was Motoloco. The 62 is already for sale on MUD for $8000. :hill: :bolt:

This was the same when we sold the 4Runner last fall, one day on Craigslist for asking price. Priced straight from Kelly Blue Book and we had a back-up buyer even. Both parties said finding clean used Toyota 4WD SUVs was tough.

Funny, but not true: http://forum.ih8mud.com/vehicles-trailers-sale-wanted/351682-1988-fj62.html
Motoloco did have a comment about the truck, however.

I know, just being sarcastic. ;)

Well you weren't far from the truth, though, Martin as can be seen in the Mud For Sale thread Phrog posted - Motoloco was the first to look at the truck. $4400 must be a very good price for a clean 62 if he was on it that fast. Hmmmmm, I know of a clean, well appointed 62. HMMMMMM.
:D

Yup, Motoloco was the 2nd call but as you can see from his MUD
post he didn't want it. I take exception to his comments as they
are not accurate (well the nice fella part is :)) but hey it's sold so
time to move on.

Phrog, your street cred here on RS has mofoloco trumped so don't sweat what he posts even if he says something nice about you. Be aware though, it doesn't take much to rise above his level so don't get too big of a big head. ;) I'm sure you are happy to move your truck for the asking price and easily at that. Good

Thanks Crash. I did post a rebuttal on MUD - couldn't stop myself.

Dang....I wanted to read your reply to the flipper :D - Must be a MUD conspiracy though 'cuz everytime I try to get to the page it won't load...Tried both my desktop and laptop computers :( - It actually causes my IE to lock up

Darn, how did I miss this... I need one of these for my soon to be 16 year old
daughter.

If you all see another one this clean, and don't want for yourself, let me know.

Did the same thing to me on IE but Firefox worked just fine. No surprise, I guess. Phrog's rebuttal was succinct and gentlemanly.

It was some script trying to run  - Once Windowz finally figured out the script was causing the page to load slowly () and let me stop it the page would load...Agreed that Phrog's rebuttal was well done :thumb:
