I think the owner confused his FJ Cruiser for a PT Cruiser.

That looks pretty terrible IMO.

too bad it's raining or else the top might be down. Maybe someone can photochop to reveal a nicer looking truck?

No "photochop" needed - Google search :D

IMO the slopped back soft top looks dorky but the squared off version isn't too bad...

Thanks Jeff! I agree, with those exaggerated roll bars, I don't like the look.

Here's one I found with more subtle bars. meh...

I like that one as well. May even own one if they made it.

A modern day Vlak Vark or whatever Christo called his 80 pickup. I'd own that or the Short Bus too.

The first one, with the slope is done by a guy in Newport Beach California. He does all of his aftermarket tops the same with that slope.

He does 90% of all the aftermarket vehicles that are at SEMA.

Cost is 12K and his top is automatic.

I spoke to him for about 30 minutes a few weeks ago, trying to convince him to consider doing one like the second squared off pic. I told him the first one does not look historical and if anyone wants a more traditional FJ40 feel, the second pic is closer to that. Anyway, he wasn't really getting what I was trying to explain.

I wish I knew where the second one was done. I would do that, depending on the cost.

I have seen the 3rd pic up close at the Ouray Summit, TRD Parts 4U bought it.

The squared one, and the chopped 'pickup' version, cure the lack of visibility rather handily!

I've never really had a problem with visibility, I had worse blind spots in my 78 Coup De Ville.
