Looks like a Military tire to me. Do you know the Load range?

Not sure, just saw it posted in the FjCruiser forum.

That's a Michelin XZL. Military tires and seem to be as rare as hen's teeth, particular in 9.00x16. Also not DOT approved AFAIK, if remaining technically legal on the roads is important.

Michelin XL's.. a good handful of the bigger 80's run them, short answer is they wheel great between 0 and 5 psi, stiff as hell on pavement. Not sure on balancing but would suspect they are about like big swampers. just a guess though.

Here is one of many threads http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/145563-new-kicks-they-big.html and http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/263063-lets-see-some-crazy-cages.html

They are DOT approved. Some of the big sizes have a mph limit. I've seen them on doolies before in that 9x16 size.

I wouldn't want to drive on ice on those unless they were siped. But you're not running these as daily drivers, right Chris?
