I am stuck on the wiring of the A/C from the 90 4Runner system to the 96 4Runner ECM. The 96 ECM has terminals ACT and AC1 while the 90 EMC has terminals A/C and ACV. Both sets come from the A/C amplifier to the ECM.

Any experts on which corresponds to which? I have tried figuring it out from the A/C wiring diagrams, but I still don't know for certain. Thanks, T

Thanks, I have that. I just cannot reconcile the difference in the terminals on the ECM and I don't want to hook up to the wrong one. Terry

Specifically.....A/C Solution:
You need the electronic card from the 3.4L A/C cooling unit located behind the glove box in the donor vehicle. With the 3.0L configuration the card receives a signal from the negative side of the ignition, in order to work now it will now need to receive a positive signal from the ECU instead. You will need Toyota wiring diagrams to figure this one out."

And don't forget about the online Hilux/4Runner/Taco/FJC/Tundra factory manuals...

You can reuse the 3.0 A/C copmonets. I need to get some time to look at this wiring diagrams and double check my harness.

Did you build a jumper harness or are you splicing the harness?

I am building a jumper harness from existing plugs.
Let me know the connections you made on the A/C when you get to it. Thanks, Terry
