A lone but majestic range, the Henry Mountains are a seldom explored mountain range south of Hanksville Utah. First put on a map of the USA by Major Powell in 1869:cool::eek::bowdown:!!

The dates will be July 1st through the 4th. I'll probably head out sometime wed night. Come home Sunday.

I found a few roads last year I want to check out, one below Bull Creek Pass.

Terrain: Easy to moderate. Always a good thing to bring extra fuel and food, hint, hint;)

CB/Ham: 4/146.460.

Starting to read up on my new book on the Henry's. I'm thinking we need to spend one of the days in Bromide Basin, and possibly one hike mentioned in the book, just need to read up on it more and see how involved, otherwise we can climb up Mt.Ellen.

Looking forward to getting back out there.

I've taken some friends there every July and may again this year. If you climb Mt Ellen (not much of a climb) please raise a beer or two in honor of my friends son Mike whose ashes were scattered there a few years back.
