Just got home. I have seen some incredible concerts in my life but I have to say I am in awe! I've never really been a EJ or BJ fan....like the music but just not my favorite. Tonights concert was one of the most amazing I have ever seen! Those old men can still do it! Pepsi Center was packed to the ceiling with singing and dancing happy people! I would see it again! Tomorrows gonna be a be-atch....

Man, are we dating ourselves or what. Was there too. I thought BJ was much better than EJ, maybe because his music was more my era.

It was postponed from November. I surprised my wife with the tix for an early Christmas present. A couple band members got the flu. Great seats but my ears are still "muted" this morning!

I'm a huge EJ fan, but mostly of his earlier albums and of course love the over-played classics of BJ, Piano Man

I still remember thumbing through my Dad's albums and stumbling upon this one for the first time....

Listening to Rocket Man on that original vinyl was amazing for the first time,
and still to this day I will always turn that up when it hits....

And while I always enjoyed 'tiny dancer' ... the movie Almost Famous cemented it for me as my 2nd favorite EJ song......cheesy I know...but music is powerful, especially in film...

"hold me closer tiny dancer...'I have to go home', 'you are home' ...count the headlights on the highway...." (2:00)

always wanted to break free of cubeville and sustain creatively..alas I cannot, I live therefore vicariously through artistic depictions of those who can.

love it...always will...hold the hate ;)

...and while on youtube, I hit a related video...and there's dave grohl calling me out as just another cheeseball stereotype...

"tiny dancer...2 words that strike a chord in the heart of every sensitive 32 year old man in the country...."

ok 34, he's close...real close...

.....I'm back to reality now....

Tiny Dancer was a hit last night for many. The biggy EJ hit that got everyone wired at first was Saturday Night and later when BJ and band was back and everyone was jamming the huge hit was Benny and the Jets. The band's were having a ball and wailing, EJ & BJ were rocking and the crowd was out of control. EJ-63, BJ-61 and can still sell out a huge venue at top dollar AND leave everyone wanting more! I was/am impressed especially since it was a gift/sacrifice for the wife so my expectations were so-so....I had no idea! The bands left the stage as EJ/BJ finished with Norma Jean and then Music Man. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!
