Been driving by this house every day, and it never ceases to amaze me.

I gawk in amazement at it everyday figured I'd stop and take a couple shots.

This was a cooll old house prior to that storm this summer....now its just a nice...wiat for it...wait for it...treehouse :lmao: had to do it...sorry

This is off of 44th, those familiar with Wheat Ridge know right where this is I'm sure.

next one shows just how powerful the wind was, just uprooted a bunch of really large trees in the area, now granted, this particular root ball doesn't look real healthy...

and then just a little closer showing how the tree just sort of cut through like a dull butter knife....hopefully no one was upstairs when this happened.

someone with some actual skills should go take some pics b4 they tear it down, but it's been there since last summer, so I'm guessing they're not in a hurry.

The house just sits like that ....could not get away with that in my hood! Maybe you could if you painted the tree the same color of the house!

the whole property is fenced in with a 6foot chain-link now since this to hopefully keep the kids out I'm sure.

I was up on a burm to try to shoot over the fence,

but yea i've been shocked its still sitting there like that

What a shame. I am guessing, no homeowner's insurance.

Wow. Looks like that tree was already near dead. Probably needed to come down long before the damage was done.

yea that whole area by the truck stop east to kipling basically was hit pretty hard, lots of big trees down and I mean BIG and OLD trees, shame really.

All of those Silver Maples where planted around Denver at almost the same time. Unfortunately they grow fast and die fairly young, so there are nice big old trees all over the city that are ready (need) to be taken down. Not great planning really.
