I rescued this Green FJ40 rusting in Monument and bought it. When i bought it, the engine was in serveral pieces. I then picked up a 1980 FJ40 with factory PS. I'm sure you may have seen that ad on CL. I only have time to work on one. I'm keeping the 1980 (even though it needs far more bodywork). I'd rather not part the 78 out. Its got a clean title.
I would rather love to see a cruiser head fix/build it up and give it the time it needs.

CL ad has it for 2200.00 I'm posting it here for the Landcruiser community for 1500.00.

Top of carb rebuilt. Original 2F, headered, Previous owner desmogged it. rear heater exists but not hooked up. Has Lockrite locker. All glass is intact. poor quality tint (or just super old) peeling off of the top glass.

Here's the CL Ad. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1628759583.html

Give me your questions and I'll answer them the best i can.

Was this the one that sat in the lot on 2nd and Mitchell for years? Just curious as I was always tempted to try to talk to them about it but I was chicken.

pffffff come on now TJ, it's not THAT big of a deal to let the #5 cylinder chew on a rag for 8,000 miles.

I'm not sure but think the bottom shot was how he got it.

I wish I had the cash.

looks like you showed it more love than the last. If I can muster up enough in a couple of weeks and no-one has jumped on it, I'll see what I can do.

I would like to come look at the FJ. I am looking for a 40 to build with my daughter as her first car.
