just last week i scored a super sweet M416 trailer 100% restored from the preveous owner. he had a frame off restoration he had the interior sprayed with some type of bed lyner not sure what brand.. he also added a few extra tie down locations to the out side.. as well and had the electronics updated.. breckbj44 is buying the complete frame assembly off me because im planning om making a more trail worth frame like rezarf did on his trailer with a telsocoping reciver for better parking in garage and and true 90 deg jack knife reversing when on the traile, and possible either a 4link or a-arm airbag suspention like the horizon trailers.. or just leafsprings.. (suspention is undecided)

way too clean a trailer to cut apart. just let me buy it and you will be happy.

hahaha.. im not cutting it up.. just seperating it.. after moab.. besides.. death wabel from the pentl hitch is horabel.

cutting the frame away from the bed is cutting it up. not many of these trailers unmolested...AND already restored. what a waste.

Sweet trailer, Tim! Looking forward to your new frame build. If it's anything like your bed bob, I'm sure it will look flawless. :)

that is too clean to seperate imho.. the chassis is the main deal. if your making that fabbing a box is nothing.

do not cut this up. seriously.

Cool Tim. Nice score. Is that an M416, or is it an M101? I thought the 416 had a tailgate? (but I'm no expert).

416.. no tailgate on oem. close the drains and they float :)

M416 if anyone can make my up a exact match of the bed but with 1x1x1/8" square tube around the railing instead of round tube ill keep it togther.. because i do plan on modifing the tub. i plan on eventually adding a tailgate and possibly (not set in stone) a side exiting sliding drawer.. And full lid..

honestly, i'd start from scratch, it's easier than you realize if you are thinking of making that many mods to the trailer. The strength of something like the m416 is more in the stamping/shape of the tub, and once you start altering that, well, it changes things a bit.

just my .02

Yeah, just sell it to me so I can throw my RTT on top and then build yourself one from scratch :)

I'll take it if he passes!! :D

besides.. death wabel from the pentl hitch is horabel.

I've never experienced any wobble with my M101a's pintle? Towed it for 1000's of miles of HWY and offroad. Maybe its the extra weight? It sure does bounce around though until I get at least a 1000 pounds in it.

I would not sererate that trailer either. Sell it to someone for its current market value and start your new trailer from scratch.

probably not enough tongue weight if you had death wabel

03-10-2010, 09:17 PM
it was totally empty i was towing it fine for a while about 70mph with no problems.. then when i got onto highway 70 i was only doing 50mph in and holly shizzz:eek: bam bam bam bam what the fuzzz is that.. the trailer is going ape sh*** so i slow er down to about 40 and shes fine.. speed up again and bam bam bam bam what the ffff slow down again and its fine.. speed up and bam bam bam bam OMG then my exit so i didnt have to wory about it any more thats why after moab im fabin up a new frame and its going to have one of theise babies (http://www.locknroll.com/products_sub.aspx?cid=1&id=28) so i dont get that damn death wabble im sure it wont do it if it's loaded down. Sorry about the language.

Adding to my last post. I noticed yesterday the m416 only weighs like 500lbs or so. And it was empty. And it was getting death wabble near the parrina factory which the roads are crap and I was in the far right lane with the k-rail so I also had the turbilance. I'm sure if it's loaded it won't bang around.

Talk to REZARF about the hitch.
