Last night I'm watching the world news and as they start to talk about the volcanic eruption the camera pans across a road in Iceland leading to the volcano. Sitting on the side of the road is a massively lifted-modified 80 series. I have a buddy in Iceland, and I think to myself, self, that looks a lot like Finnur's rig. Can't be certain, because it was only for half a second, but this morning in my inbox are all these shots of the volcano with a note saying he went to check it out over the weekend. So, I'm wondering if that was his rig that made the nightly news. Regardless, I thought you might enjoy a few shots of what's happening over there.

The grounded air traffic has me amazed. It made me wonder if there are any other engines out there that don't have intake filters on them. Geeze - if they'd just put snorkels on them, it'd get the intake up higher out of the dust :)

Great shots, would be so cool to be sitting there watching mother earth at work. Always amazed by what she can do in a split second and alter the world.

I saw that shot with the 80 in it. Hard to look at the volcano with that quick shot in there.

They were all concerned that this 1st volcano could trigger a 2nd, larger volcano, to also erupt. This would be a much larger eruption and put so much debris in the air it would lower global temps a couple of degrees................wait, doesn't that fix global warming?

Also a link a friend sent me with live video cams of the volcano (from a distance) - better at night but too far away to really see much:
