Sometime sunday evening, my cat jumped from the second story window and disappeared. I took the day off today and hunted for a good 4.5 hours, all around, but did not find him. I'm hoping he'll come back tonight.

I know its a bit silly, but he's been a great buddy, and I love him very much. I'd appreciate good thoughts/prayers for his safe return.

Thanks.

Hoping for the best Isaac. I know how important pets are to us and the thought of him being lost is heart breaking. Fingers and toes crossed.

Sorry to hear it, Isaac. I've had cats most of my life. We'll send up a prayer for his safe return.

Keep hope alive bro... My cat of 7 years disappeared for about 5 days last year. I put up fliers all over the place, reported him to animal control, did a Craigslist ad, and went driving around calling for him everyday. He popped up in my window 5 days later looking like he lost 2 pounds. Prolly got locked in someone's garage or something. Main thing is... your pal could come back, even if it seems bleak.

Did you move yet? if so I know it seems strange, but a cat of mine many years ago. did not fully get use to the new place I lived in. He made the trip back across town. It was a full 10 miles away. Must of used some of his 9 live to make it to the old place. A neighbor let me know when he showed up. May want to let your old neighbors know, just in case he show up.
But yea, the same cat would disappear for a couple days at a wack, one or twice a month. Must of been his alone time to play.

Sorry to hear that, good thoughts and hopes. Roddie is right too BTW, go to your old place if you have moved already and check it out. Let your neighbors know.

Thank you all so much!

I have a lot more hope now, after hearing about 8 or so stories from people on here, at work and around the neighborhood that have all had cats go away for 3-5 days, and then come back just fine.

Paul, GREAT advice. I love it. I'm going to keep that in mind.

Thank you all again.

Best wishes Isaac!

Count me in the "cat disappeared for days and came back" club...Hopefully all of this will just amount to you entering that club with the rest of us :thumb:

I used to volunteer at a humane society. If you haven't yet, please check there. They will hold your pet for a coulpe of weeks. Sometimes just 10 days. Depends on county laws. I hope he comes back to you.

I was saddened to read this as we lost our very sweet indoor cat Bella a week ago last Saturday. She has got out before but never left the yard and we always got her back quickly. She was wearing a collar w/phone number and is a real affectionate cat, so when we didn't get a call after a day we were sure all was lost. The good news is we just got a call from a neighbor who found her hiding terrified in their garage. So miracles do happen, keep the faith. Bella is back home safe and sound after 10 days.

We FOUND HIM TODAY!!!

My brother happened to spot him just outside the town home! Took an hour to get him to come out of his hiding spot, but he did. He is back home safe and sound after 6 days.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!

Cheers!

Great news. Is he chilling out yet? We were on vacation once and the cat got out when somebody came to feed them. Clem is outside every day, including dead of winter, so he is ok with that but did not like not coming in at all for over a week. Came in and hid for two days.

Thanks everyone!

Paul, no, he came in and was all nonchalant and cool, as if to say, "What? I was just out having some fun. No biggie."
