Black pipe and Teflon tape. This weekend's project is redoing all the plumbing from scratch and it's taking forever...

turn the air up...the black abs will go away ;)

ABS??? I'm not that dumb. I used black iron pipe. It just sucks almost as bad as Teflon tape for leaks.

High pressure plastic lines. Seals nicely.

Ive seen that stuff and it looks pretty neat. Only reason I didn't go with it is because I need a bunch of drops for stationary machines and I didn't know anyplace to get odds and ends to expand the system. So I ended up sweating 1/2 inch copper water pipe instead.

Always use pipe dope on metal lines and Teflon tape on plastic!

Yeah pipe tape is to lubricate the plastic fittings enough to get them assembled without them breaking and because it won't react with the plastics like some dopes will. Metal fittings get dope. Tape will seal if you work with it but it's easier to use dope.
