Good news. Looks like I am going to be working outdoors again with the Forest Service this summer. :thumb: I was offered a position doing Trails/Wilderness work with the Clear Creek Ranger District, so I'll be working a lot closer to home than last year when I was working down in Ouray, which is great because I'll be able to spend a lot more time at home with Ilsa and Kim. Last summer I was gone 4-5 days a week with a 7 hour drive each way.

Here's some pics of my new office

Where's all the snow?

Those pics are from the Fall along a couple of the trails in the area I'll be working this summer. I'm certain it's still buried up there right now. ;)

Wow dude, you are blessed on many levels. What a cutie pie of a daughter! :D

I'm glad you'll be closer to home bud!

Very cool. Much nicer than my current view, which is a blank wall. I was lucky enough to work on a trail crew for a while; there's a lot of days I miss wearing a backpack for work

Alpine lakes and the shimmering pools of your daughter's eyes...what could be better views? I mean, seriously?

I want this to be my office view and I'll even go get another batch of comm. speakers just to see it again soon.

Thanks for the encouragement. :) And I answer to all sorts of names, including Martin, Matt, hey you... and I guess "dad" soon enough. :hill:

Really looking forward to getting outside after having to miss Moab this year. The job probably means I won't make any club events this summer either, unfortunately, since I'll be working weekends in the field and working the rest of the week at home and helping care for Ilsa.

Have a great summer of wheeling and I'll post up some pictures now and again.
