View Full Version : Feeler Trade - 37" Iroks for 35" tires

*EDIT* - See post 4 for full details and pics.

So the Iroks are a bit large for my needs, looking to downsize a tad. I've got 4 of em, 37x14x17 with at least 50% tread left (more like 60 - 75%) They came on the rig and I'm working on setting it up more for overlanding. I'd trade for 5 35's in equal or better condition or possibly 4 with cash or other parts. The Iroks are bias ply, I'd really like radials for street use.

They're currently on TrailReady beadlocks, I'd consider selling/trading these as well. I have 5 of these, one without a tire, they're 17x10 (I think), 6x5.5 bolt pattern (chevy/toyota), no idea on backspacing. The PO has big spacers on to fit them on the FJ60, I can include those as well if wanted. PM or post offers. Located in Fort Collins. Thanks,

Geoff

I'll snap some and upload tonight, currently at work.

As promised, here are a couple pics. Tread depth is about 14-16/32nds, new is 21/32nds, so about 65-75% of the tread left. The PO didn't ever wheel it (which would explain the retarded gearing) so the sidewalls and lugs are in great shape. Tires are $270 or so new each, wheels are about $230 + beadlock costs ($200ish/wheel), so factor that in when giving me an offer.

The wheels are 17x8 KMC Venoms (look meh without the beadlock, but the Trailready treatment makes them much nicer looking), 4.5" backspacing. PO sent them to Trailready to have the beadlock rings welded on. They have rock rash on the lock rings (from a previous set of tires) but are otherwise fine. All 4 tires hold air no problem. The only thing you will need is new hardware for the 5th wheel (PO lost it). While your at it, probably just get all new stuff from TR, $30 or so for a full set.

Tire/Wheel example:

Extra wheel (lock ring is in the garage right now):

For reference if you have a trade offer, after looking around at comparable setups I'd probably ask $600 for the 4 tires and $800 for the 5 wheels on here.

Also, if you're interested in a trade and need to make up the difference on your side, I'd look at trades for cruiser parts, outdoorsy stuff, and things that go bang. Like Paris Hilton.

Still looking for a trade or sale offer. I've got a trail set of tires in my garage so I can just sell these if need be.

I have some 35" BFG mtr tat are near new less then 700 miles and one off road trip. Come with aluminum rims and a good spare with and ugly wheel that can be painted.

If interested LMK and I'll take a few shots. My only worry is yours aren't radials.

When you say "rock rash," what are you describing, since the PO didn't wheel these tires/rims? Minor discoloration, or serious dings and deep scratches?

Thanks!

Dings and scratches. Nothing structurally serious, but enough to know that they have been used in the rocks. From what I understand he got them from the original owner of the rims, who had used them as they should be used, and then he rolled around town and up to a few campsites on the Iroks because he liked the way it looked.

Having a hell of a time getting rid of these, still looking to swap for tires or tires/wheels. Price drop: $1300 for the setup for members.

I have 4 Champion 15" aluminum beadlocks in good shape with Goodyear 37" MTR radials on them. Probably 40%-50% tread left on the tires, they were also siped for additional traction.

I might consider a trade of some sort since I need a set of 17" beadlocks since I got a new set of IROK 37" radials that are 17's.

It might be easier to sell the MTR's separately, the 15" beadlocks balance up nicely, or maybe you can try running the 37" radials.

I'd have to do tires first, then rims or the whole set at once. Ideally I'd just do tires, but I'm putting the wheels out too to see what's out there.

Do you have a spare of any sort? Any pics?

What's the backspacing? And how bout that spare? Definitely interested.

I would have to measure to get the exact backspacing but they appear to be standard 3.5". I have a worn MTR of the correct size mounted on a new, non-beadlock rim for a spare.

Bumping, hoping to swap with Air Randy, but if that falls through they're still available. The truck has finally made it into the garage and the tires are off the ground to prevent flat spotting. I made sure to roll it around often when it was in the driveway to make sure they didn't flat spot out there either.

Kinda upset I still have these. If needed, I will run them, but I'd rather swap for something smaller. Anyone interested yet?

Another bump, wheels and tires are off the truck now and ready to go.

4x 37x14x17 Irok Bias Plys, good wear, ~85% tread, no chunks, great shape
1x 37x12.5x17 MTR, low tread but holds air just fine, using as a spare
5x 17x8 (IIRC, might be 17x10) polished KMC Venoms that were sent to Trailready and are now beadlocks. 4" BS, Toyota/GM 6 lug (6 on 5.5) bolt pattern, good shape but show trail use, could use new hardware ($30 for grade 8 from TR directly)
4x 2" 6 lug spacers

I want 35" radials that will fit a 17" wheel if you don't want to swap wheels too. I'd be willing to part with the beadlocks for the right deal. Spacers don't go unless the beadlocks do. Sale price is $600 for tires, $800 for wheels, and $100 for spacers.

Send over some pics, the h1 deal is in the works but can be aborted if need be.

You do know that the hummer rims are 16.5 to the best of my knowledge. I was looking at that deal too but was turned of by the 16.5 size. It is hard to find that size anymore. Just a FYI

PS How much for just the rims?

I do, 16.5 isn't ideal, but I like the double beadlock and it seems the Goodyear H1 tires will be around for a bit, and after that I'll go back to Swampers. Which rims are you talking about, mine or the H1 ones?

I think they were originally 17x8, so with the addition of the beadlock ring they're probably a tad wider. What's the area code on that number? I'm at 208-484-seven eight eight eight if it's easier. Also, I'm pretty firm on the prices in the last post ($600 tires, $800 wheels, $100 spacers), just FYI for anyone interested.

I am willing to trade my 35" BFG MTR's for just your bead locks. This way you still have the tires and spacers to sell and make some cash while driving on the 35" tires.

Give me a call 3o3- 829 -o7o3 Tom

PS tires still look good, less than 2K on the street and one trail.
