I don't own swivel sockets, but it looks like you can pick up sets relatively cheap online:

I'm taking a wild guess here and thinking you're trying to get the top nylon nut off on the front shock on the driver's side? And you're running into the brake dookickey? :D

if that's the case... put a box wrench on it and let it hit something stable so it won't move and then turn the top of the actual shock housing :hill:

I used pliers and a hammer to put my lift on:D..

well, not really but there is nothing you should need out of the ordinary (like swivel impacts) to get this done.

i tried the box wrench and can't get a good enough grip on the shock housing to get it off, i think i have it figured out, we'll see

Pipe wrench

exactly.. as long as you don't want to use that shock again :D

Pipe wrench

Exactly... use a pipe wrench on the big diameter of the shock below, while your box wrench up top is pressed against something. If you have a helper, they can hold the wrench up top, but your leverage is going to be with the big pipe wrench down below.

edit: Yes you will put marks on the shock but you can do this without denting or damaging them, they can totally be reused. How do you think I went from stock to 850's to 850's plus spacers to 850j's to Slee 4" Wes? in fact I think I sold you those shocks.. :bolt:

I used a plasma cutter.

oh.. don't worry. I couldn't get one loose because I was tightening it  when I went back to put the spacers on the front.

do you want to see what a square upper ome shock looks like :o:p::D
