Anyone remember what happened to me on the way home from Slaughterhouse 2005?

After drivingon 285 and Hampden and I-25, I was 100 feet from my house any my right rear tire fell off. I remember seeing it roll in front of me into my neighboors flower bed.

I had one stud left and put the tire back on and limped the 100 feet to my garage. Rachel was behind me and freaked out a bit with the sparks

Yup, that's the guy: Jim Toepper. After they got divorced and Jim moved to California, Amber came to a few meetings by herself. I think she was a bit overwhelmed with the guy-centric nature of the club, though.

Gentlemen, you are correct! That was the red 40 he brought to Moab when the timing gear shredded and he spent 2 days in Slickrock Campground fixing it. The only run he got to do was Saturday, Golden Spike.

Who is that in the 40 that I'm pulling out?

subzali
11-09-2010, 01:34 PM
I guess it could be the upper part of Hackett Rock...it looks more like this right now (though it's more dug out than this picture shows):
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/hackett_gulch/091025/second_obstacle.jpg

This is the lower portion of Hackett Rock, again more dug out now than this picture shows (at the base of the rock):
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/hackett_gulch/091025/rock_slab.jpg

I should have taken more pictures when I was down there, there's not that many that I can find online. Still a bunch of trip reports from before the fire...
