My brother, a pilot in the military, is coming into town this weekend and is interested in going to see the t-33 plane crash outside of Allentown.
I've never done this trail so I have a couple of questions.
a) can it be done in a stock 4runner b) any general suggestions for the road.

Thanks for the help on this.

Lars,

I was up there a few weeks back with Dan (MoutainGoat) adn CR from FR4x4 and I think there are a few sections that may give you problems. Look at the trip thread and you can see those areas. One is a pretty big step for a stocker and the other is near the top were Dan hit his rear quarter on a tree. I think it can be done with good spotting and driving but you will rub the underside a few times and maybe a tree or two with the length of the runner. My .02 Was a fun trail. Good luck.

I did it in my stock 80, though I had sliders that rub a few times. Also the top is fairly tight between the trees, but just drive careful and you can make it through those. The only thing would be the underside.
