I got tired of stuff being piled on top of each other so I went with the two zone baskets to sit on top.

Is that for the Engel 45? I have not seen this basket setup online, where can regular folk get some of these.

Wes,

Any chance you could measure the big basket for me? I'm wondering if this might work in my Edgestar as I have a similar compaint with regards to having stuff all stacked on top of each other.

TIA

I tossed them in the car this morning.. you want me to stop by on my way home and see if they fit? probably easier than measuring and stuff.

found this on mud Jeff

The TwoZone Suspended Basket Set is compatible with most ARB, Engel, Norcold, and Waeco fridge/freezers.

The larger basket measures 11.5" from suspension tab to tab, and the basket is 10.4 wide, 9.5" long and 4" deep.

The smaller basket measures 11.5" from suspension tab to tab, and the basket is 10.4 wide, 5" long and 4" deep.

Thanks Wes :thumb:

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the baskets will work with the 63Qt Edgestar though :( - At least not as designed

I measured and the fridge measures 13.75" between the inside outer edges, 12.5" between the inside inner edges (the basket tabs would sit on that 1.25" space or lip)

Narrowest points would be on the basket itself between the sides and even that measurement is 12" between the sides.

I guess if a person really wanted to they could still use the basket (large one, the 63Qt Edgestar already has a smaller and shallower basket on one end) and just set it down in there on top of whatever is below. That might not work so bad assuming you have and even layer of whatever underneath the new "upper" basket

I received mine today and I'm not really impressed witht the fit. My lid contacts the baskets before closing and I have to force the lid down with the clamp. It appears to seal completely but for something labeled as a direct fit it really does not seem so. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I have the Engel 45 for the record.

Edit: I was doing something wrong. I had the green thing under my main basket. I removed that and put it in the bottom of main basket. Now accessory baskets fit without issue.

For you Edgestar owners...I emailed them with a suggestion to make something similar for the Edgestar fridges...I actually got an email back stating they liked the idea and would look into it. We'll see if they ever do.

Figures :o I complain about the shipping and they show up today:D I did not know that they are an actual Engel product. I thought somebody just made them for different fridges.

Tried them out and they fit great, now we will have a whole new way of packing :)

Thanks again Wes for this great inexpensive find. Now if you can find an inexpensive slide I would be set.....................oh and a cover.:D

Come on guys, there's more fridges mods than that!

Don't forget the fridge lock. Simple piece of plastic that keeps the stupid door from sliding off to the side every time you open it. This is a must.

I took the basket a step further. I bought a piece of plastic coat metal for a shelf system, cut down a piece and stuck it in. In wedges between two metal wires in the main basket to keep it from falling over with the weight of the soda/beer.

Don't forget the fridge lock.

I quit using that when I moved the hinges to the side. Much better than the long opening.

Agreed! Was the best mod I did to the Engel 45.. just make it open sideways. Not only does the door not fall off, but you could actually open the door enough to get the basket out, without moving the fridge.

edit: Hey does anyone know a local source for that rubber-like divider material? I would like to make one for my big fridge..
