This is pruely to taunt Treeroot. I decided to powdercoat my Landtank rear sway bar bracket as I'm getting ready to do my suspension upgrade soon. My truck will never have the overall bling that his brings, but maybe I can one up him at the ends of my sway bar :p:

Thats metalic grey powder right there....

No, I send all my powder coating out to Streamline Custom Coatings. I had a few barriers done this week so I had them do the brackets too.

Heck yes you did! :grinpimp:

You do need to weld those front bits on though.

Got me there. I'll have to use the dremel to prep for welding but keep the pc looking purdy.

Did you throw massive Lens Flares on the pic with Photoshop?

Ironically these were Mike's tow hooks from his 80. I bent one of mine during CM09 backing off a ledge on Cane Creek. Mike was happy to send his take offs, but they were a little rusty :o So I had them fixed :hill:

JT is the photo shop master. But its overdone as to imply powder coating the tow hooks is overdoing it too

No chrome shop around here:hill:

I let the powder coater have a little freedom with these. I really like the way they turned out. Hope I don't cry too long the first time they see the rocks. Work done by the same shop that does my barriers. And because I know someone will ask. $95 per wheel. It would have only been $55 for a single color coating.

Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for the complements. I'm normally not much for the cosmetic stuff but the clear coat and back shadow of my OEM 40th wheels was getting pretty rough. I figured as I need new summer rubber for the spring I'd get this done will the wheels were stripped down. The black back shadow is the same I use on my barriers. The grey metallic is the same as the previous stuff I had done as a joke.

If anyone wanted to have theres done I could probably pick up wheels during the CM pre run then deliver back at CM11. But you'd have to own two sets of wheels of course ;) Save you a ton on shipping.

Those look really nice, Corbet. Almost makes me wish I had an 80 to bling out. :hill:

How much are you looking to get for your 60 anyway?
