Perry passed on it and I don't remember who else was interested. I think Tim was second in line and maybe Tom Rompies.

Marlin S/N 3410 RF1A, single gear-driven case, Marlin's special 4.7 gears, forward shift, 21-spline. This is a bolt-on unit for 1989-1995 W56-C or W56-D transmissions if you want to keep the factory shifter, but could be modified to top shift. Could also serve as a crawler box if you wanted 4.7 in the middle.

I bought it in spring of 2008 and it's got maybe 30 miles total in low range. It was $775 new.

I have photos at home, although there were some attached to the thread in the member's only section called "Paging Perry to the White Phone".

Thanks Ken.

Forgot to mention that it has the triple drilled flanges so that it'll mate with any Toyota driveshaft.

Yeah, I thought about accelerating the removal 'cause of that but there's a natural pace to things in my life. Unfortunately that pace is typically sloth-like.

that is a screaming deal
If someone is on the fence, don't forget that this is the regular For Sale section and not the member's-only. Lots of people see it. There are 35 views in the past couple of hours.

I need to hear from Tim first, then Justin. That's the order thus far.

If it doesn't sell here, you could try the local TTORA board (I could link to this thread if you don't have an account). Quite a few mini's lurking over there.

I shouldn't even have looked at this thread, I have no business getting in line. I think I could get more bang for the buck doing lockers first, but I'm gonna express interest anyway, in case it doesn't sell before I'm ready.:)

He can change that, pretty simple.

Pretty sure he knows this, but if you already have a top shift transfer case the additional parts needed to move the shifter over and convert from forward to top are minimal. Just need new roll pins I think. If it's going to be used in a dual case situation then the shifter and two rails would need to be sourced from a donor. Marlin sells a whole conversion kit for I think about $90 with rails and a shifter. If the case is going behind a W56 then the middle case can remain forward shift if you want.

I'll take it. Found a ride for it to Texas! Thanks Dave.

Simple, yes. But a) his existing case is fwd shift, and b) it no longer is cost effective. Thanks for the consideration though, Dave! :thumb:
