View Full Version : FJ60 2F BVSV color question

I need to replace one of the BVSV valve thingies on the thermostat housing and when I called C-Dan I couldn't rememeber which one...so I just got both.

Of the new ones, one is reddish/pink and the other like a darker blueish/purple color. When I look at the housing where it's supposed to go, I see one reddish one (good) and the other one looks white(???). Is it just aged and faded? are there aftermarket BVSVs of different colors? When I get home I'll take some pics if that helps the cause.

Pink/reddish one on the bottom, brown/grey/bluish/faded whitish whatever one on the top...

I think the "white one" you've got might be just aged and faded.

How much were those doodads? I feel like picking up a couple since I think mine will just snap someday when they are no longer available..
I've been kinda hoarding emissions parts. i'm a geek.

I snapped one of those suckers off and if I recall it was 40-50 bones to replace it. :hill:

the closer I look at it, it think it's just faded, really faded. and as far as prices... Cdan prices ... ya'll sittin' down? $37 and $54. List is, well...quite :eek:

Kinda neat to see that they were actually that blue when new!

Marco is right, purple on top, red below and one year into mine, they're so faded that I had to lift a bit of the tubing to really make certain of the color.
