The obvious down side of the Hot Dogger is it's inability to cook roasts.....oops guess thats makes it still even. ;) :brick: :bolt:

I was wanting to see if the Millers might be able to make something up to catch the grease . Only hard part with the Snackster, got to watch what your making or else it might spill onto the Header

Sweet. I bet the hot dogger could cook up a mean brat. :)

Where does one get the hot dogger? that might fit my bj a little better.

shocks...pegs... Lucky :D

That looks mighty pimp, did someone say group buy? :thumb:

No reason to compete IMO I'll run both for the full course meal. I am hooked on this new gem from Jimmy Dean and it would be perfect for the hot dogger!

$32 inc. shipping. A little steep but saved me a lot of fab work and it fit what little space I had to work with.

poorexcellent

Ok, free shipping on orders > $149.. that's 5 Hot Doggers. I think I could find space for this tucked in behind the snackster, looks ideal for baking & cooking brats, as you say Wes. So I'm good for one if someone wants to orchestrate the group buy.. :homer: :)

Ok seriously: that's Me, Wes, Treeroot... Chris? We need 5 to get the free shipping, who else wants in?

And I'm thinking baked manicotti, baked ziti, etc.. the garlic bread I cooked in the Snackster on last year's night run was done perfectly, so toss a Ceasar salad in Uncle Ben's fridge and we'd be all set!

Alright!! I think Treeroot is still nocturnal, so hold off until tomorrow before placing the order, should still be plenty of time to have them in hand at the June 7th meeting. I'll do the ordering if no one else wants to. BTW, thanks for the tip, Brian! :thumb:

It's in the 'Runner right now, so I don't have it right here. ~7x5x2". Big enough, we figger, for 2 lg burritos, a dozen brats or at least 2# of brisket. The plan is to pack it full so there is a larger thermal mass, it might take longer to heat up but it will get hotter and stay hotter 'cuz there will be less convected heat loss.

If you have enough real estate on your intake or exhaust manifold you probably be able to hose clamp it right to one of the runners.

If the order's not in yet. I'll take one. The 100 could use a cooker. Snackster needed a grease catcher. Gives me an excuse to drive 100 miles to the next meeting.

I'm in. The fact that it's on Heather's 4Runner (um... it *is* still Heather's... right?) gives me hope of mounting it in the Chili.

Night run, up Spring Creek, taking along our Clear Creek ranger friends. Been trying to set up something like that for a while now...

Who's down with that?

Ok, new list:

1. Wes
2. me
3. Hulk
4. Uncle Ben
5. Perry
6. Treeroot
7. Farnham
8. Hatfield ??
9. Red Chili

Maybe I'll just go for 10, would make a fine raffle prize.. :)

edit: oh and a night run buffet up Spring Creek sounds awesome!

Shawn, I ordered 1 extra one. You're in!

Wes, we had one of those when we were kids, was the craziest appliance ever. It would cook your hot dogs, but once things got we with grease it would also shoot sparks across between the unused prongs. It was almost scary to use..

I had one of those back in the late 70s. Picked it up at a garage sale. I cooked a lotta hot dogs with it, Wonder what ever happened to it? My Mom must've thrown it away. :blah:

No it pretty much frys the whole cat....oops I mean hot dog. The dogs immeadiately expand and sizzle and pop open along the seam. You actually feel kinda bad for the mystery meat sticks! http://www.netshrine.com/vbulletin2/images/smilies/nuke.gif :flamingo: :hill:

Hey Ricardo I had to remove my hot dogger to make room for OBA.. I'd probably let mine go to ya. Of course I'll have to find it first, but could most likely bring it to the meeting next week?
