View Full Version : RTH - exhaust problem in Vermont

So Amber is in Keene Vermont and the exhaust just went bad on her 80. A good "friend of a friend" will replace the exhaust for the cost of the parts, which he says is 500 from the local Toyota dealer. That seems rather high, and I am sure I can get them cheaper from cruiser dan, but doubt he could get them there by Thursday. Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks.

ha.. that is low.. you must only be getting the resonator or muffler.

The Y pipe alone is like 1k+ from toyota.

I'd find out what your really getting or need.

Won't shipping from NM eat up the Cdan discount anyhow? Whats wrong with the exhaust, cat, muffler?

I would probably just pay the $500 and get it done... real tough to manage that stuff from across the country.

curious though, what part went bad all of a sudden? y-pipe? cats? O2 sensors? resonator? a full exhaust is well north of $500...

thanks all, so difficult and frustrating to deal with this long distance.....which is why I was against her driving the 80 out there anyway. I will just have them fix it and deal with any other issues when she gets back. thanks again
