I just got done throwing the Alcans on the FJ60 this past weekend and the driveline angles/caster need some tweaking. I think the best way to fix it all is to cut and turn the front axle so my caster is right and my driveline angle is good, but I need to get the thing at least to where it tracks straight now.

Does anybody have some big shims? Like more than 5*? Looking for 8* but anything bigger than 5 would get me past the point of zero caster at least.

For the rear something like a 4* shim would get my flanges closer to parallel.

I am also ordering some shims from 4 Crawler to have untill i get around to a cut and turn, so these I would be getting are just for an immediate fix for basically this weekend.

Thanks!!

There is sources for steel shims of any thickness on the net. A big factor of anything beyond 4* is the head on the spring locating pin will need to be lengthened. Thicker shims will also want to "spit" out under force so a couple key placed stitch welds are good medicine!

Yeah I got some on order from Roger Brown, I was just wondering if somebody had something close that I could run in the mean time. His lead times are pretty long.

I am getting the ones that bolt in like an additional leaf, I'll also tack them into place when they are installed. Thanks for the tip :)
