Are you going to post any prices up...

To be honest, I haven't taken any pics yet because there are bees in the 55. They love the 55's vents and have set up home.

The piggy runs but the engine/carb need work. The quadrajet doesn't seem to have anything beyond the idle circuit. The engine is a V8 chevy and when idling you can hear a backfire/exhaust leak into the exhaust x-over/EGR.

The 40 is all there except a bracket for the front seat, dash foam, and windshield glass. Needs a new 3speed but I can probably find you one.

Shark Bait

Is it the newer style bracket or older? I've got some extra seat bracket stuff.

treerootCO

No, not really...

you are 4th in line for the 73...maybe 3rd at this point. Quigly knows about a few tubs we can go get. I'm just having issues with how much "tresure" I have in my back yard at the moment.

Somebody must want the wiper linkage from the 60 carcass. There are usually a couple of threads in the 60 section of Mud with people looking to fix a broken linkage.

What steering wheel in the 60? It doesn't look stock.

Mike - is there a 40 front bumper in reasonable shape somewhere in that pile?

treerootCO
03-08-2007, 09:38 PM
The rear frame of the 60 was cut off so I don't know if there is enough to build a trailer from. The only axles available are in the pic with the parts on the pallet.

I have 4 2F engines from various years.

The wipers are complete except for the motor. The steering wheel is not from a Cruiser. It probably came out of a Corolla or something.

I don't have any bumpers that are resonable. I have a few really bent ones if you want to try straightening one.

Thanks - how about a front driveshaft from a 4 spd?

no idea. I have a pile of driveshafts so if you have one to compare to we could match one up.

The flanges will be different throughout the years. The 2F in my yard has both driveshafts but that only gets you bolted up to the transfer case. The other end will most likely need to be changed to match the 73 axles you have.

nuclearlemon
03-09-2007, 01:37 PM
transfer cases had different bolt patterns too. you can sometimes change out the flanges, but i don't know if a split case flange will go onto a one piece case.

We have a couple of drive shafts whose flanges are matched up - they're just too short. We can bring those over and see if you have anything the length we need...we can also try to make one up for Tim....
Thanks!

They work on both the front t-case end and the 3rd member end. They're great for when you put aftermarket gears into your 3rd but are using your older driveshafts.

key thing to note is that you either need newer third members or aftermarket gears for the universal fine spline flange.

i don't know if joe sells em,but there's also a universal course flange. i got one from cruiser outfitters if joe doesn't have em. they are a bitch todrill through...a press really makes a difference.

Yeah, coarse spline pinions are a really different animal, hard to find except on parts rigs.

Drill press rocks :-)
