Take a look at these pics...it's an easy one to guess. I headed out with a guy I work with who just picked up an old Wagoneer...wood sided style. pretty cool for J**p. It's beat to hell but this was his maiden voyage. I've kept the pics to Toyota-only.

So....where do you think? (the last pic should be a give away)

Waggoneers with wood paneling are on my bucket list. Parked right next to Barry's FJ40 that he is going to sell me someday.....

.

x2. That first shot looks like the valley as you are coming up Mammoth Gulch.

Ding, ding, ding! you win! (yeah, I thought it was easy). It was a beautiful day and the trail was quiet. I gave a Ch. 4 shout out a couple times (but since I couldn't actually SEE any Toyotas, I didn't think anyone would hear me on my CB)

I'll post a pic of that J**p...it's a project for him. it's...ahh...a little "rough around the edges". but cool as $h!t.

Let's just say it doesn't leak and made it there and back without any issues. it's a 'work in progress'.

That's not frame flex, that's articulation the hard way. Looks like a fine old(er) Jeep. Ready for a retro run I'd say.
My Father-in-law's FSJ (Full Size Jeep) lacks the wood panels, but makes up for it with the Jeep gladiator pickup grill we swapped in.
Despite having the "low" factory gears and a rear Detroit locker, his isn't that great on the trail. It just doesn't have enough gearing or power or articulation, or fuel economy...No worries. It makes up for all of these deficiencies with STYLE!

I have always dug those trucks.

I am currently looking for one for a friend. So if you find one or know of one let me know. I get to drive it back to Memphis for him if I find a good one.

Fun :)

I had a Tonka toy as a kid with the same grill as the one Rudy is driving. It's funny how I can still visualize it after all this time.
