Some dumbass on his cell phone clipped the rear bumper of my 100 Series the other day; just some minor cosmetic damage (my wife was sitting at a stop light when it happened), but it will need a small dent repaired in the back corner above the bumper.

I am going to call their insurance company today to file the claim.

I am picky as hell about my vehicles and want it to look brand new again. Who is the best body shop in town that uses Toyota OEM parts? Any good experiences out there with local shops?

Thanks--

Bradford auto body, in Littleton, has a very good reputation. RE: OEM parts, that is pretty much driven by the insurance companies AFAIK by what they will pay for. Often you can specify OEM, you just have to pay the difference. Your insurance company will pursue theirs (go through yours so they can sue if necessary), and yours can advise you on that.

Thanks, Red Chili. I will check them out.

Any other body shop recommendations would be great. (In other parts of town too). Not sure if we have a thread about this already, but it's always helpful to hear opinions and feedback on shops. We need a couple of dents hammered out on our Tacoma too, so any input is helpful. Keep them coming. :thumb:

Nylunds Autobody at Dartmouth and Santa Fe. They have done a lot of work for us and do a lot of Lexus for dealers as well as Mercedes, Bmw and everything else.

They look good too...thanks. I like the fact that they do a lot of higher-end vehicles, so they obviously know how to apply a quality paint job.

I have had very goo luck with Eurocollision (http://www.eurocollision.com/). They are right at Colorado Blvd. and C-470. They work on all models and makes, not just European cars.

I've always been treated well by Mike Chavez at Sam's-Oxford just east of Santa Fe. I believe they may be more expensive than other shops but if the other guy is paying...

also they have a rental car Enterprise outlet on site.

Well, the other guy's insurance is Progressive, and I have to take it to a place called Profile Auto Body for an estimate on Wednesday. After that, I am thinking about Nylund's (they seem very reputable). What concerns me is that I'll get a lowball estimate from the Progressive place and it will be twice as much at a "real" shop.

Any advice?

Last summer when a CPA smacked my Evo Mr9,I took it to Nylunds and they know how to play the insurance game. Insist on your shop of choice.

The ins. comp can not tell you where to go. If the actual cost is more than their est. your body shop will/should work it. John did that for me when I got hit and they were about $1200 off. John got it settled and got paid.

Check out the Govs insurance site, some good info.

When my FJ got hit, I took it to:

Concept Auto Body
8161 South Grant Way, Littleton, CO 80122-2701
(303) 730-3132 ()
conceptautobody.com

I was pleased with their work - very thorough, done when it was promised, and looks new.

Dropped my 100 off at Nylund's today; they gave me a tour of the shop and it looks like they do some great work. Lots of Toyota and Lexus representation there.

Now I just have to get used to this Chevy Traverse for a week as my rental! :lmao:

As a follow-up...picked up my 100 Series today at Nylund's. These guys are outstanding. I would recommend them 100%.

John, thank you very much for the recommendation.
