FOUND, BUT MAY NEVER BE RECOVERED :gaah:
Could ya do me a favor and keep an eye out for my utility trailer?
It was stolen from the area of 52nd Avenue and Wadsworth in Arvada, sometime between Wednesday evening (9/8/2010) and Thursday afternoon.
It is 5' x10' (bed size), black, with white OSB wood sides (3' high, in poor condition). It has a spare mounted on the rear passenger side (mount made from a 4runner spindle). The bed is 2x8s painted white. Also, it has (had) an Arizona license plate (P-20845). It has no tailgate (tailgate is still in the garage).
If you think you have seen it, please give me a call 970.227.9676
or you can call the Arvada police at 720.898.6900
grrrrrr.... I HATE thieves!

Nope, no pics. Here is the closest thing I could find though. Picture this with 3' high white osb wood sides. Though, I imagine a decent thief would have taken them off. Oh, and white rims.

I found it, I found it! Waiting for cops to do something about it. If I don't have it back by tomorrow, screw the cops, I'm going in there with bolt cutters (that I just purchased for the occasion). I wonder if the cops will pay me for doing their job? It took relatively little "investigation" for me to find it.

Good news man! Careful if you go repo it...
That's great news! Good luck.

Wow, that's amazing... hopefully the cops jump in and make the repo run smoothly, good luck!

Excellent news :thumb:
x2 on being careful if you decide to try and get it yourself. Make sure you have your paperwork because even though you know it is yours, you'll have to prove that regardless.

Oh s*** that was yours ! Sorry. Lol JK I know what it feels like to have something stolen from you. I had my scooter stolen from me and the cops just laughed. I even had them on film.

Well, that didn't go well. Sure made the cops take notice... have to admit, wish I had gone to the Federal Heights police instead of the Arvada po po. Anyone know a good lawyer? One that will defend me, and simultaneously sue them, so I can get my trailer back?

badness man... badness.
My blood boils if I think on it too long... but the short of it is... I tried to manually retrieve it. Had to hit the hospital for the gash in my leg caused by dogs and got ticketed for trespassing and assault. I did trespass, but the only one that got assaulted was me. The only thing I did physically was try to keep from getting beat up while trying to make sure I was NOT assaulting. Guess I will have to argue that one in court. I got a lawyer helping me out though on the civil aspect of getting my trailer back. As for the other, it will just be a misdemeanor ticket, probably will have to pay a fine.

This sort of thing just makes me sick. All police ever want to do is give you a ticket for speeding. When it comes to actually serving the public they are completely useless.
I hope everything works out.

Who stole the trailer? I'd like to know who to stay away from :)
Hopefully this won't all end up costing you more than the trailer was worth...Hate it when the aholes win and the victims lose, twice :(
