I'm 99% sure it was from an '85 F-250.

Either way, it's part number E5TZ-18183-A and they are like $8 new. Seriously, the U-pull in Albuquerque wanted $10 for one.

Even I wouldn't go the junkyard route for $8.

dig around on Mud or simply google ford shock towers, there are tons of threads on using them not only on toyota forums.... They are available cheap new from the right places. I paid more for mine second hand (but new) than they are available from dealers.

No problem. I personally wasted a day at the junkyard to find out that they were so cheap new. Glad to save anyone the trouble.

You can see why they are so cheap though.

That's right: new ones have wavy metal on them. I'm sure they are plenty strong, but the engineer in me cringes to see new parts that aren't straight...

I've got a pair that have already been cut and welded.

$20 takes em!

and for that matter you could take mine too.. i won't be needing them. I also have the lower shock mounts that weld to the axle tube.
