I posted this in mud thread, but thought I would post here as well in case the info is useful for anyone.

Had to get CO emmissions and plates yesterday. Yes, I waited until the last day of the month when my MO plates were expiring. Was suprised, only one car ahead of me and 2 people ahead of me at the DMV!

I write this while knocking on wood, as I did pass. I was nervous with the 96 with 228,000 miles and orginal cats.

I guess I contribute it to good PM, unless someone dissents. Orginal cats, but new O2 sensors within last two years. New blue top EGR. When I put the SC on last year, intake manifold was bath washed. Plugs, plug wires, dizzy are all new about 3 years ago.

Here are the numbers:

HC GPM 0.8246 - 1.2000 is limit
CO GPM 14.2678 - 15.000 is limit
NOx 1.6309 - 3.5000 is limit

You got lucky with no line. I dont think that I have ever gone to emissions and not had to wait more then 1 hour to get my car checked out.

Went to Longmont instead of Boulder. Don't know if that made a difference or not. Since it was the last day of the month, I went prepared with laptop, figuring I'd be there for a couple of hours, but no.

Wow, you barely squeaked through!! I agree all the PM definitely helped your case, but man if that line would have been 8 cars deep I fear the test results would have gone the other direction.

For a little more tech and entertainment, here's our collective 80 emission story http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/showthread.php?t=10919
