I have a set of FJ60 Calipers that are loaded with new pads.

Same bolt pattern as the 94 runner calipers I know for a fact. I think the only difference is the piston diameter in the calipers is a tad smaller and the pad is a tad smaller.

Best way with Hilux is to use the casting number.

S12 = 2 x 34mm, 2 x 43mm
S12+8 = 2 x 34mm, 2 x 43mm pistons
S12W = 4 x 43mm pistons
S13WB = 4 x 45mm pistons

The S12W is the one typically called 'V6 IFS' caliper and is found on 89-95 IFS pickups.

Do FJ60 calipers work with mini truck vented rotors?

I just got an S13 caliper from NAPA and it was listed as a '94 4Runner v6 4wd Caliper FWIW.

Not sure if the fj60 calipers will work. I know the 89-95 are the largest. That's why I wanted them. But I do need a set of fj60 rotors. Jims is selling the calipers for 25$ each + 5$ core. Problly were I'll go unless the club can source something

The S13WB was a bigger option but was never used on the 89-95 Pickup. It was used on the T100 and most (all?) 92+ 4Runners. This is a bolt-on upgrade but most people pair them with the 1-1/6" master cylinder (most 3rd gen Pickups have 1" M/C) and you must use the correct S13WB-matched rotors since the diameter and thickness is slightly larger than the ones used with the S12 calipers.

Got ya, for some reason I figured the runners and pickups had the same calipers! doh!

Tim, if you can get calipers for around $25 bucks go for it. That's by far going to be your cheapest option. Core charges for these things are in the neighborhood of 40 (autozone)- 60 (napa) bucks which is why I always try to have a few around.

Edit:

Dave, any idea which rotors would be used? I noticed that the FJ60 ones are a tad thinner than they look like they should be with the runner calipers.

From 1989 to 1991 the 4Runner and Pickup are the same.

See if this helps you...

The rotor is slightly larger (11.375" in diameter for regular V6 vs. 11.41" for T100 and '92+ 4Runner) and thicker (about 5mm thicker, 0.79" vs. 0.985").

Sweet thanks!

Now I gotta see if the Runner IFS rotors fit my solid axle.

HiJack off. Sorry Tim....
