Congrats on the traeger! Brisket!

I scored a me a lil tex 070 before xmas on craigslist for a great deal. It had the digital thermostat, cover and a deluxe smoke shelf.

I've had pork, beef, turkey and salmon on it. Salmon is my favorite.

I haven't used my old grill but once for sausages

Love the Traeger!

I would start with good old pulled pork. Easier than ribs or brisket, and you can do a lot of different things with it. I have been smoking BBQ for years, in facet last summer I started selling BBQ at a couple of local Farmers' Markets, and it was a blast! Send me a PM, we can chat. :)

And go pick up "Peace, Love, and BBQ" for some good BBQ stories and good recipes.
