Started doing knife rehandles and leather work about 3 years ago. Found out I was pretty good at it. Mostly I do knife sheathes and rifle slings. I've dabbled in other areas as well, rifle scabbards and butt cuffs, etc. My specialty is baldric carry rigs for large blades like khukuri, goloks, machetes, etc.

Been thinking of wrapping my steering wheel and possibly making a leather cover for my worn out sun visors.

Thought some of you might want to see my work.

YOu should touch base with Drew (Rezarf on this forum). He's done a bit of custom knife handle work as well. You guys could compare notes...

Thanks. It's become one of my trademarks. It also saves me some stitches.

Will trade leatherwork for work on my 60! :D

Wow, nice work. :thumb:

I'm a Wilderness ranger with the USFS and I am always carrying tools. Any chance you might want to help me out with a couple of axe sheaths?

how much for a leather sheath? I actually have the old boy scout one but I think it's the same dimensions.

Great looking work !

I was involved in knife making over 20 years ago as an apprentice to one of the most prolific custom knife makers in the country http://www.kelgin.com/ but never did get involved with sheaths. Custom leather work is pretty rockin'

I'd almost buy a new shovel to be able to use your sheath :D

I love the Cold Steel shovel. My old one I had for years but lost it in a move. This one has much nicer pants. It's a great camping tool.

Sheathes vary, mostly depending on size and hardware needed. $60 is the average. Big rigs for large blades reach $120-150.
